Hippotrix Ltd is a new Scottish app development company started by producer and director team Simone Bloomfield & Jonathan Charles, who have run sister company D fie foe Productions for the last 15 years. Hippotrix was set-up to develop original apps for children that stimulate learning and self-expression through exploratory play.

The first Hippotrix app Hippo Seasons has had a successful start (launch September 22nd) with good download figures and excellent reviews. Including; The Sunday Herald Scotland business section; Times Educational Supplement; Stuart Dredge, Guardian Writer, says “lots of inventive touchscreen interaction….very impressed”; and the mighty CoolMomTech say “Don’t miss this little gem that really pushes the format of the standard app…”
We have got off to a great start in 2013 and are developing our next app, it is hush hush, but which we will have a demo for at the GSMA Mobile World Congress (February, Barcelona) We are attending as part of the SDI / Interactive Scotland stand, which is very exciting! Let us know if you are going or do pop by to say hello!
We are also thrilled to be developing a number of exciting apps with an interesting range of clients, who have identified the Hippotrix team because of our experience and the good vibe they get from the Hippotrix brand.
